What is a Spiritual Heart Blockage?—

  • Withholding trust
  • Busyness

Specific Heart Blockages—

But he gives more grace. Therefore, it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Pride = The love of one’s own excellence.

To identify pride, ask these questions–

  • Do I tend to only prioritize my needs or do things without any consideration as to how they impact others?
  • Am I constantly comparing myself to others?
  • Do I create standards that others can’t fulfill but think I can?
  • Do I tend to look down on those who are not gifted like I am, not privileged like I am, or not popular like I am (or appear)?
  • Is God in control of my life, or do I try to control everything?
