August 4, 2024 / Sean AriscoRomans 12:9-10 NLT
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other.
Mark 9:33-37 NIV
After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples, “What were you discussing out on the road?” But they didn’t answer, because they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest. He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else. He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”
You are for .
Jesus wants you to be great!
The world says…
- Greatness is to be .
- Greatness is to than others.
Jesus says…
1. True greatness is .
2. True greatness is others.
Mark 9:35 NIV
“Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
If we want to be, we must put others.
Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” —Martin Luther King Jr.
True and lasting is found when we God by people.
Mark 9:35 NIV
Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.
